The City Secretary, Natalie Darrow, maintains the City Council minutes agendas, deeds, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and various other forms of historical documentation.
The City Secretary is responsible for the administration of all city elections as well as preparing election materials, notices, including review of contracts, and submission of any necessary data to the Department of Justice.
The City Secretary is responsible for preparation and dissemination of the City Council meeting agendas and packets as well as attending all City Council meetings. She also prepares citizen recognitions and honorary documents, coordinates the activities of various other boards, and maintains a roster of appointments to city board and committees.
The Office of the City Secretary issues vendor permits, coordinates the codification of the city ordinances into the City Code of Ordinances, receives bids and attends bid openings, and posts legal notices and agendas. The City Secretary also serves as the City Manager’s executive secretary as well as providing support to the City Council, City staff and the general public.
